Aug 24th Update & New Trends

New Uptrends - Buys:
Eldorado Gold Corp. at $13.01
Kinross Gold Corp. at $8.93
These partially result from the uptrend of Gold (Electronic)started on August 10th.

UpdateLast Friday Best Buy Co Inc. again did trigger a Buy signal and as expected with all the current negative news, the stock took a plunge and has resulted in a Sell Stop set at $17.31 for this Friday; we'll see how it behaves this week.
Avon Products Inc. hasn't been strong enough to reverse the downtrend it started almost 4 months ago and remains in a short position.
Sprint Nextel Corp. the star of the group fell back below $5 but remains strong as a long position.
Chesapeake Energy Corp. is now well above its Sell Stop price of $17.20 so the Long position and uptrend remain valid.
CNOOC Ltd has dropped approximately 6% from its buy price and has triggered a Sell Stop at $190.44.
All other uptrend positions are still good and most of them are now showing positive returns; those positions are:

Aug 17th New Uptrends: Manulife, Sunlife, Best Buy...

On Friday Best Buy Co Inc.has again triggered a Buy signal at $20.27 for a new uptrend. This stock also recently received multiple buy ratings from firms such as UBS and Jefferies Group; however it's currently trading 7% below the triggered buy price.

Avon Products Inc. is still a short position as it remains below the Buy to Cover set at $16.28.
Sprint Nextel Corp. remains a long position with a valid uptrend.
Chesapeake Energy Corp. is holding above its Sell Stop price of $17.20 so the Long position and uptrend remain valid.

CNOOC Ltd, Suncor Energy Inc,., Cheung Kong (Holdings) Ltd and The Wharf (Holdings) Ltd.remain in an uptrend.
SNC-Lavalin Group has been declining over the past few weeks and a Sell Stop has now been completed at $37.41.
The downtrend signal received on July 27th for HSBC Holdings plc (5:HK) has now been closed as it traded at hkd69.10 above the set Buy to Cover price of hkd68.35.
